Imagine this: you are minding your own business in a coffee shop on a autumn day, reflectively drinking your pumpkin spice cappuccino. Suddenly, a guy/girl notices your crucifix necklace and slides over to you. He or she is drinking a peppermint latte, in anticipation of Christmas. Then he or she asks the dreaded words:
“Hey, have you been saved?”
Or, maybe he or she is a no-nonsense espresso drinker, and asks you:
“Why do you worship a zombie?” (Halfway-true story).
You have four options. You can either:
a) Pull the fire alarm and run.
b) Spill your cappuccino all over yourself to make a graceful exit, thus avoiding the conversation.
c) Wonder sadly to yourself why you didn’t go to the Apologetics 101 Catholic Conversation.
d) Calmly sip your cappuccino and apply all of the strategies you learned at the CYA Apologetics 101 event in order to more effectively evangelize the world. All the while enjoying your pumpkin spice cappuccino. Pinky-up style like the British.
I think we all know the correct answer here. Join us at St. Francis of Assisi on the 3rd floor of the Meerschaert house as we discuss ways to effectively defend the Catholic faith!
